The Berjen Success Story
In 2008, Fred Berry and Nathan Jenkins Formed BERJEN, combining two distinct but Complementary sets of experiences and skills:
BER: After many years of customer service and managerial experience with a large organisation, Fred had project managed a concept business in the property refurbishment sector.
JEN: After completing a kitchen fitting apprenticeship with one of Doncaster’s premier kitchen retailers, Nathan extended his experience when working with a small independent kitchen company.
The outcome: an overriding target of producing high-quality service and high-quality installations for all of our customers, from initial design to completion.
Customers remain at the heart of all of our work, and their comments, expressed to us personally and through our feedback forms are greatly appreciated by the BERJEN team, confirming that we have not only done work to the highest of standards but also with the upmost courtesy and respect.
Our public trade reputation – with minimal advertising – has grown so much that we now the first port of call on a sub-contract basis for some of the major kitchen retailers. It is not unusual for our craftsmen to be called upon by other companies to remedy, remake, bring up to standard and refit interior installations.
Furthermore, we pride ourselves in keeping informed of all the latest advances in technology, materials and design, attending national trade exhibitions on a regular basis. And we now have contact with a growing network of regional and national suppliers and products, which we are able to access in order to meet our customers’ requirements.
Alongside our apprentices, we remain and will remain a small, friendly and sustainable family business rather than having a grand design to become a large company. But we also look forward to growing our business, based largely on customer recommendations and continuing the Berjen Story with and for future generations.
